LEADING ENTERPRISE SOFTWARE COMPANY / CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE

Sales and marketing gained full-funnel visibility on Amazon Web Services.

Marketing, sales, and revenue data sat in separate systems that could not communicate. Marketing could not attribute revenue, sales lacked a clear view of which deals deserved attention, and revenue operations produced reports that were dated by the time they arrived. PivotX combined governed revenue data, machine-learning scoring, and shared dashboards on Amazon Web Services (AWS).

THE SITUATION

Disconnected systems hid the path from marketing activity to revenue.

Sales tracked opportunities in a CRM the marketing team didn't use. Marketing attributed leads in a platform that didn't connect to closed revenue. Revenue operations assembled reports manually from both, and those reports were stale by the time they reached leadership.

The company could see parts of the funnel clearly, but it couldn't follow an account from first marketing contact through pipeline, renewal, and closed revenue.

THE WORK

What we built

01

A shared revenue data foundation

Before working with PivotX, sales, marketing, and revenue operations used different systems and definitions. The teams could not follow an account from its first marketing interaction through pipeline and closed revenue.

PivotX consolidated CRM, marketing automation, and third-party company data on Amazon Web Services. Power BI dashboards gave all three teams a shared view of the funnel based on the same definitions.

Marketing can now connect its activity to revenue, while sales and revenue operations can review pipeline and forecasts using the same data.

02

More focused sales outreach

Before PivotX's involvement, sales teams lacked a reliable way to identify the accounts most likely to convert and pursued opportunities broadly.

PivotX built machine-learning models that score active deals, identify aging opportunities, and flag priority renewals. The scores update as pipeline data changes, helping representatives focus on accounts with the strongest signals.

Lead targeting and conversion rates improved, while sales cycles shortened.

WHERE THIS TRANSFERS

Where this applies

01

Your sales and marketing teams are looking at different data to answer questions about the same pipeline.

02

Marketing can tell you how many leads it generated. It can't tell you which ones actually converted.

03

Your best sales reps decide where to focus based on experience and instinct because the data doesn't give them a better signal.
